Paolo Levi

Paolo Levi (born July 20, 1919 in Genoa , † 1989 in Rome ) was an Italian playwright and screenwriter .

Life

Levi started out as an unsuccessful novelist, according to his own statements, and became known primarily as a radio play author ( The Dark Side of the Moon , 1951; Self-Defense - Microfono d'Argento , 1952; meeting at 7 a.m. , 1953; Station in the Fog , 1956) and a playwright ( Anna and the telephone , 1951; The Path is Dark , 1953; The Pinedus Case ; 1955).

Levi appeared as a crime writer and wrote about 25 films over a period of about 30 years - from the beginning of the 1950s to the 1980s - including mainly comedies and Giallos . His script for the television adaptation of Jekyll received particular attention.

Levi had emigrated to South America during Italian fascism .
