Baron Mancroft

Baron Mancroft , of Mancroft in the City of Norwich , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The family home of the Barons is Chichester House in Kennington Park, London .

Award

The title was created on December 23, 1937 for the conservative politician Sir Arthur Samuel, 1st Baronet . This had already been awarded the subordinate title Baronet , of Mancroft in the City of Norwich, on January 15, 1932 .

His son, the 2nd Baron, changed his family name in 1925 to "Mancroft" through deed poll . Today's title holder has been his son Benjamin Mancroft as 3rd Baron since 1987 .

The heir ( Heir Apparent ) is the son of the current title holder, Hon. Arthur Mancroft (* 1995).
