Benjamin Lloyd Stormont Mancroft, 3rd Baron Mancroft (born May 16, 1957 ) is a British Conservative Party politician .

Life

He was born to Stormont Mancroft, 2nd Baron Mancroft and his wife Diana Lloyd. He attended Eton College . In 1987 he succeeded his father and remained in the House of Lords as one of 90 elected hereditary peers under the House of Lords Act 1999 . Among other things , he has a responsible position in the Countryside Alliance .

Mancroft was Chairman of Inter Lotto from 1995 and of Scratch-n-Win Lotteries from 1995 to 2003 . He is a non-executive director of St Martin's Magazines plc and, since 2003, Rok Corporation . Since 2006 he has also been Chairman of New Media Lottery Services .

In February 2008, Mancroft complained that the NHS nurses who had treated him at the Royal United Hospital in Bath were "filthy, drunk and promiscuous". The chief executive of the hospital, James Scott, called this statement “harmful and hurtful” and asked the peer to withdraw it. Mancroft did not do this and did not apologize.

Lord Mancroft has been married to Emma Peart since 1990 and has two sons and a daughter with her.
