Cyril Newall, 1st Baron Newall

Baron Newall , of Clifton-upon-Dunsmoor in the County of Warwick , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The title was awarded to the Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir Cyril Newall on July 18, 1946 . This was from 1941 to 1946 Governor General and Commander in Chief of New Zealand .

The current title holder has been his son as the 2nd baron since 1963.

The family seat of the barons is Wotton Underwood near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire .
