Baron Rotherwick

Baron Rotherwick , of Tylney in the County of Southampton , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom , named after the village of Rotherwick .

Award and subordinate titles

The title was awarded on June 8, 1939 to the ship magnate and conservative politician Sir Herbert Robin Cayzer, 1st Baronet . Cayzer had represented Portsmouth South in the House of Commons . As early as January 29, 1924, he was given the subordinate title of Baronet , of Tylney in the County of Southampton. His grandson, the 3rd Baron, also inherited the title of 6th Baronet, of Gartmore in the County of Perth from his great cousin in 2012, which was created on December 12, 1904 for Charles Cayzer , the father of the 1st Baron. Both Baronetcys belong to the Baronetage of the United Kingdom.
