Baron Scrope of Masham
Baron Scrope of Masham was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of England .
The title was created on November 25, 1350 as barony by writ for Sir Henry le Scrope . The 3rd Baron was stripped of the title for treason in 1415 after participating in the Southampton Plot . In 1426 the title was restored to his younger brother. With the childless death of the 10th baron in 1517, the title in Abeyance fell between his three sisters or their descendants and has been suspended since then.
