Baron Shaughnessy
Baron Shaughnessy , of the City of Montreal in the Dominion of Canada and of Ashford in the County of Limerick , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award
The title was created on January 25, 1916 for the Canadian railroad entrepreneur Thomas Shaughnessy . He was 1899-1918 president of the Canadian Pacific Railway and provided in particular that the company the Canadian war effort in World War supported.
