Baron Stapleton
Baron Stapleton was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of England .
Award
The title was created on January 8, 1313 for Sir Miles Stapleton , when he was convened by King Edward II by Writ of Summons in the English Parliament .
The title has been suspended since the death of his childless great-great-grandson, the 4th Baron, on August 10, 1373, as none of his heirs have effectively claimed the title since then.
