Arthur Hamilton-Gordon, 1st Baron Stanmore

Baron Stanmore , of Great Stanmore in the County of Middlesex , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The title was created on August 21, 1893 for the politician and colonial governor Sir Arthur Hamilton-Gordon . He was a younger son of former Prime Minister George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen .

The title expired on the death of his only son, the 2nd Baron, on April 13, 1957.
