Baron Tedder , of Glenguin in the County of Stirling , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was bestowed on the famous Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir Arthur Tedder on January 23, 1946 . He had initially served in the Mediterranean as Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Air Force during World War II and was then appointed to Eisenhower's deputy in the invasion of Normandy .
