Baron Wolverton
Baron Wolverton , of Wolverton in the County of Buckingham is a hereditary title of nobility in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
The title was created on December 14, 1869 for the politician George Carr Glyn , who represented the constituency of Kendal as a member of the House of Lords for more than twenty years . His son, George Grenfell Glyn, was also a member of the House of Commons and both Paymaster General and Postmaster General for 16 years and became Privy Councilor in 1873 . Furthermore, Frederick Glyn, 4th Baron Wolverton was temporarily Vice-Chamberlain of the Household and thus representative of the Lord Chamberlain of the Household .
