Barra Kunda

Barra Kunda (spelling variant: Barrakunda , Barracunda or French Barracounda ) was a small settlement in the area of ​​the present-day state of Senegal , near the border with Gambia . The next modern place is Genoto (around 0.5 kilometers away). Richard Jobson described the place in January 1621 as the most distant point of European shipping on the Gambia . The place where there was also a trading post had fallen into desolation in the early 18th century.
