Barring

The barring (plural: barrings ) are carriers that extend from one side of the ship to the other or are a whole scaffolding on the upper deck of sailing ships for the storage of reserve spars and logs as well as for seaworthy storage of dinghies. These can be launch boats and pinasses . It stands between foremast and mainmast and can carry the barring deck on smaller ships.
