Barstyčiai ( Jegminsburg ) is a small town ( miestelis ) in the district of Skuodas , Klaipėda district in Lithuania . It is 12 km west of Seda . It is the center of the Barstyčiai district with a Catholic church (built 1906–1908), a middle school, a children's home, a library (since 1953), a post office (LT-98014) and the Barstyčiaisee .
In 1558 the village of Barstyčiai was mentioned in a document. There has been a church since 1788 and a coat of arms since 2011.
