The Basava Temple ( Dodda Basavana Gudi ) is a Hindu temple in the city of Bangalore in India .

The temple is located next to the Dodda Ganesha Temple within the extensive Bugle Rock Park in the south of Bangalore. The name of the Basavanagudi region is derived from the Basavanagudi temple, which was built in the Vijayanagara style in 1537 .

Nandi , a huge bull and figure of Hindu mythology , is worshiped in the temple .
