KK Nexton ( Japanese 株式会社 ネ ク ス ト ン , Kabushiki kaisha Nekusuton ) is the name of a Japanese publisher who specializes in the distribution of eroge . The company is based in Osaka , Osaka Prefecture , Japan and is currently headed by Akihiko Suzuki, who was also chairman of the computer software Rinri Kikō ( Ethics Organization of Computer Software , EOCS), similar to the German USK .
Business principle
Like other eroge publishers, Nexton has contracts with various game developers whose games are marketed. In return, the developers are financially secure and receive support from the publisher, both in development and in marketing. The publisher also has an influence on the development of the games. The control exercised does not always meet with approval from developers. For example, in 1998 the majority of employees left the Tactics branch after disputes with management.
