Lists on the subject

The Basi Aje Tado , also known as Basi Wako Tado , Bassi Adje-Tado , Bassi Wakko-Tado , Boelo-Tado or Bulu Tado , is a lance from Indonesia.

description

The Basi Aje Tado has a straight, wooden shaft. The blade is narrow and leaf-shaped. The shaft is wrapped from the blade to the end of the handle with a thin rope made of plant fibers. A long rope is attached to the rear third and has two loops at the end. The rope is attached again to the shaft end, which is thin and pointed, but detachable. This fastening is used to ensure that the rope does not interfere with freedom of movement during use and that it does not get tangled.

Designation of the components (indones.):

  • Mata = blade
  • Tentengang or Cappagakang = shaft
  • Sipi = loop knot on the rope
  • Tulu Tado, Otere Tado or Ula Kulang = noose on the rope
