    • The high-speed line Basque Y ( Spanish Y Vasca , Basque Euskal Ya ), professionally railway Vitoria - Bilbao - San Sebastian [ - French border ] (Basque Gasteiz - Bilbo - Donostia ) is under construction normalspurige Spanish Railways - high-speed line . After completion, it will connect the Basque regional capital Vitoria-Gasteiz (with a connection to Madrid ) with the two major Basque cities, Bilbao and San Sebastian (with a connection to France ).

    Construction began in 2006 and the opening is Template: future / in 3 yearsplanned for 2023 . The maximum speed on the route is 250 km / h.
