Batheos Rhyakos Monastery

The Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior ( Greek Μονή Μεταμορφόσεως Σωτήρος Χριστού ), commonly known as the Soteros or Savior Monastery (Μονή Σωτήρος, Turkish Aya Sotiri Manastırı ) and briefly as the Batheos-Rhyakos Monastery (Μονή του Βαθέως Ρύακος) was a monastery from the Byzantine era near today's district town Tirilye near Mudanya in Turkey (in the Middle Ages Trigleia in Bithynia ). The church complex is now in ruins, some buildings are used as cattle sheds.
