Bauer und Arbeiter was a German-language communist newspaper from Baku that appeared in 1924. It was the publication organ of the German section of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan . The newspaper appeared weekly. Editor-in-chief was AA Erfurt.

history

Bauer und Arbeiter first appeared in March 1924 with a circulation of approx. 2200 and was distributed among Germans in Baku, German colonists in Azerbaijan and, to a small extent, in Georgia and among institutions in Moscow . The focus of the newspaper was on household issues and everyday life of the urban and rural population in Azerbaijan and Georgia. Political issues were presented as neutral as possible. Initially, Bauer und Arbeiter was printed externally by the Poligraftresta publishing house , which led to frequent delays in the delivery of the newspaper. Therefore, in September 1924, Erfurt, P. Kulfeldt and Schoenberg founded their own publishing house Bauer und Arbeiter , with the aim of publishing all printed matter of the German section of the Central Committee of the Communist Party. Although the circulation of farmers and workers rose sharply, it was suddenly stopped on November 5, 1924.
