The Bauersee is east of Berlin situated inland waters in the Oder-Spree district , Brandenburg and is located entirely on the local area of the municipality Woltersdorf .
The farmer's lake has no inflow. It has its drainage to the south via a narrow ditch into the Flakensee, 300 m away .
Due to the lack of navigable connections to other bodies of water and its small size, the lake is not used for shipping. It is a largely stagnant body of water with comparatively poor water quality, so that it is not used as a bathing lake. In addition, the lake is currently almost completely surrounded by private property, and public access via an adjacent community property (via Rüdersdorfer Straße) is still being planned. The local fishmonger and restaurant operator Löcknitz Forelle has leased the fishing rights on the lake and also awards guest tickets.
