Baumgartenalm

The Baumgartenalm is an alpine pasture in the Hohenaschau district of the municipality of Aschau im Chiemgau .

Two buildings of the Oberen Baumgartenalm are under monument protection and are entered in the Bavarian monument list under the number D-1-87-114-124 .

Building description

Two buildings on the Obere Baumgartenalm are under monument protection.

The Schindelberger Kaser is a single-storey, plastered saddle roof building with a baroque door, which is marked with the year 1768. The roof was renewed in 1940.

When Upper Reichenauer Kaser is a single-story Flachsatteldachbau with ornamental shotgun in block design on a broken stone base , which was built around 1800's.

Todays use

The Baumgartenalm is still used for agriculture today.

The Baumgartenalm is located below the Predigtstuhl at an altitude of 1100  m above sea level. NN . The Baumgartenalm is divided into the Upper and Lower Baumgartenalm .
