Representation of the building use template in a development plan

The building use template is part of the drawing, in accordance with Section 9 of the Building Code, in a development plan in the form of a table. The tabular form is specified in the annex to the Plan Sign Ordinance. According to the BauNVO , the most important stipulations are shown there in order to be able to quickly classify a property with regard to its buildability. These assessments include the type and level of structural use, as the number of full floors , floor area number , floor space index , roof shape and roof slope and construction. All this information is recorded by the municipality or city in the development plan and is then binding for building applications.

Due to the narrow presentation of the development plan, various abbreviations are common in the building use template. For example, the type of structural use (WA corresponds, for example, to the general residential area ) or the roof shape is abbreviated (SD corresponds, for example, to a gable roof ).
