Building door

Building door

A building door (also sometimes called a building site door ) is a temporarily attached door to close off an area under construction, for example an apartment, an office or another building site that needs to be protected.

In contrast to other doors, a building door is not firmly anchored in the masonry or in otherwise enclosed parts of the building. The door frame consists of two parts, which are designed so that the outer and inner parts can be flexibly screwed against each other according to the thickness of the adjoining wall. The door leaf itself is simple, often made of sheet steel and can only be secured with a simple lock. A door handle is not mandatory (see: new building key ).
