The building stone from Bud is a building stone in the village of Bud in the Norwegian municipality of Hustadvika in Fylke Møre og Romsdal .

It is located on a hill in the northern part of the village on the site of the Army Coast Battery 17./976 Bud, which is now used as a museum .

Design and history

The building stone was erected on August 20, 1933 on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the Norwegian imperial meeting held in Bud in 1533. It is 5.80 meters high, 0.80 meters wide and 0.25 meters deep. During the Second World War , the German Army Coastal Battery, 17/976 Bud , was built in the vicinity of the building stone . In this context, the stone was laid in 1941. After the end of the war, the stone was re-erected on May 17, 1946.
