Bavarian drivers association

The Bavarian Driver Association e. V. was founded more than 20 years ago as a loose association with the aim of promoting driving in Bavaria. In 2004, the association was registered as an association and its non-profit status was recognized. Six specialist committees look after the various areas of driving together with the management.

As competitive sport, participation in driving tournaments is defined according to the rules of the equestrian association FN , the LPO (performance test regulations) . The task of the professional sports committee is to coordinate the tournament dates with publication on the South German tournament calendar, to support the driving tournament organizers by lending equipment, financial subsidies for certain driving tests and training events.

Tradition and Customs

The main task of this specialist committee is the maintenance of the driving cultural asset. Suitable measures for this are training events, training trips and support in traditional competitions, i. H. Competitions in which routes and tasks have to be mastered with historical horse and carts that are as true to the original as possible.

Youth work

Promoting young talent is a central concern of the Bayerische Fahrervereinigung e. V., therefore there is a special committee for this. The task is to get children and young people who are enthusiastic about equestrian sports to drive and to support young drivers with training and motivational measures. The establishment of a Bavarian youth squad, the promotion of the Bavarian Junior Championships and the tendering of the youth cup of the Bavarian Driver Association e. V. are implemented by this specialist committee. But the focus is also on promoting young people after they turn 21. Another cup was set up for the extended area with ECC-Kutschen, Kutschenkontor Franken.

Hiking

Special knowledge is required for trips by horse and carriage in fields and meadows, perhaps even over several days. For this purpose there are training programs with the qualifications German driving pass, hiking badges 1 and 2 and distance driving badges 1 to 3. The aim of this specialist committee is to organize these courses and to offer advanced training events on hiking.

Popular sport

Competitive and other equestrian events that do not fall under competitive sports are mass sports events. From 2008 the FN has a set of rules for this, the WBO. The task of the professional committee for popular sport is to take care of these events and to motivate drivers to take part in such events.

Commercial driving

This specialist committee takes care of the interests of the truck keeping, i. H. of companies whose business purpose is wedding trips, horse-drawn carriage excursions and trips or the last trip. Topics include a. Regulations such as the StVO and authorities.
