Bayly Island is a 500 m diameter and 150  m high cliff in the center in the South Atlantic . It is the easternmost rock in the western group of Clerke Rocks and a popular breeding area for Antarctic seabirds .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the island in 2009. It is named after the British astronomer William Bayly (1737-1810), who accompanied the British navigator James Cook on his second South Sea voyage (1772-1775) on the HMS Adventure in 1775 the Clerke Rocks were discovered.
