Baysen oak

The Baysen Oak , ( pl. Dąb Bażyńskiego ), is a natural monument in the Polish village of Kadyny (Cadinen) on the Vistula River . With an estimated 700 years it is one of the oldest trees in Poland.

With a circumference of 10.03 meters, the pedunculate oak reaches a height of about 21 meters.

It was later given the name of the Prussian gubernator (governor) Hans von Baysen (around 1390-1459) in order to honor him for his deeds and because it was planted during his lifetime.
