The Beasts of Bourbon are an Australian alternative rock band that was formed in Sydney in 1983 and (after lengthy creative breaks and ongoing line-up changes) still exists today. The creative head of the band is lead singer Tex Perkins .

After a long break (which was interrupted in 2005 by the live album 'Low life') the group delivered another album ( Little Animals ) in 2007 and toured Australia and Europe. The concerts were often sold out.

The musical style of the formation is complex and includes elements of blues , blues rock , rock , hard rock , alternative underground , jazz and country .
