Beata Szalwinska (born February 9, 1966 in Warsaw ) is a Polish concert pianist .

Life

Szalwinska attended the Emil Mlynarski Music School in Warsaw and the Józef Elsner School. She continued her studies at the Frederic Chopin Academy and graduated with a Master of Arts degree . With a grant from the French government, she spent two years (1992–1994) in Paris at the École Normale de Musique A. Cortot and at the Olivier Messiaen Conservatory of Music .

She has lived in Luxembourg since 1999 , is married there and is known for her international concert activities as a soloist and as a participant in various music ensembles. Szalwinska is also a member of the Luxembourg quintet Aconcagua, which performs internationally and specializes in the interpretation of the tango repertoire of the composer Astor Piazzolla . She teaches piano at the Luxembourg Conservatoire de Musique du Nord in Diekirch .
