Beate Raudies (born September 1, 1966 in Elmshorn ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and an elected member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament .

biography

Beate Raudies graduated from the Elmshorn Elsa-Brändström-Gymnasium in 1985 and graduated in 1988 with a degree in finance. She works in the Hamburg financial administration as a member of the government. She is currently on leave because of her mandate in the state parliament in Schleswig-Holstein. She is married and has one child. Christine Raudies is her sister. She has been a member of the ver.di union and the AWO for more than 25 years. Since 2018 she has been President of the Synod of Ev.-Luth. Church district Rantzau-Münsterdorf.

Raudies joined the SPD in 1985 and was a member of the Elmshorn local council from 1986 to 2000. Since 1990 she has had a seat in the Elmshorn council, since 2000 as parliamentary group leader of her party, since 2008 as chair of the main committee. She was u. a. also chairwoman of the culture committee and the finance committee and financial policy spokeswoman for her group. After the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in May 2012, she gave up the chairmanship of the parliamentary group.

In the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2012 and 2017, she won the direct mandate in the state electoral district of Elmshorn .

She is a member of the state parliament for the 18th and 19th electoral periods of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament.

Beate Raudies is the deputy chairwoman of the education committee in the state parliament. There she is also the cultural policy spokesperson for her parliamentary group and responsible for the state school advisory board. In addition, Elmshorn sits in the petitions committee and holds a deputy position in the finance committee.

The MEP is also responsible for the fire brigade division as the parliamentary group spokesperson.
