Beatrice Lawluvi
Beatrice Dzidzorgbe Lawluvi-Ladzekpo is a Ghanaian musician and dancer.
Live and act
Lawluvi taught dance at the Arts Council of Ghana and worked as a teacher and assistant to the artistic director of the Ghana Dance Ensemble , with whom she toured Europe, the former Soviet Union and the USA. She has performed with the group at the first World Music Festival of the Negro Arts in Senegal and 1968 on at the Olympic Games in Mexico.
Lawluvi is the co-founder and choreographer of the Zadonu African Music and Dance Company and co-director of the African Music and Dance Program at the California Institute of the Arts . She also gives summer courses in Australia and at the Naropa Institute in Boulder / Colorado . She is married to the percussionist Kobla Ladzekpo .
