Beethoven tour (Bonn)
The Beethoven Tour is a circular route in Bonn that draws attention to Beethoven's life and work in Bonn. In 2006 the tour, which was initiated by the association “Citizens for Beethoven” and financed by donations, was opened. In 2013 responsibility for the tour was handed over to the city of Bonn.
Stations
The Beethoven tour has a total of 16 stations. Of these, 14 stations in the Bonn city center are within walking distance. Station 15 is in Bad Godesberg and station 16 in Oberkassel . The panels, 40 by 52 centimeters, made of composite aluminum are labeled with information about the location and the relationship to Beethoven in German and English. Information about the tour can be obtained from a leaflet, in seven different languages, or via a QR code on the Internet. In addition, the tour was integrated into the mobile city map of Bonn. In June 2016, the "Citizens for Beethoven" presented a concept for the redesign and upgrading of the tour, including the region.
