TSV Hadmersleben was founded in 1925 and initially only played football with two men's and one youth team. In 1930 a gymnastics department was added, and handball, cycling, equestrian sports, chess and swimming were also practiced later. Until the outbreak of World War II , the association had between 80 and 100 members. After the end of the war, the TSV was dissolved within the framework of the general ban on associations in the Soviet occupation zone (SBZ) . Sports competitions were initially only allowed at the local level, and a loosely organized sports community (SG) was formed in Hadmersleben. At the beginning it consisted of only one football department, the first team of which took part in the first state championship in Saxony-Anhalt in 1948/49 . This was played as part of the so-called state class, which was one of the five highest divisions in the Soviet Zone. 20 teams took part in two seasons. As a village sports community, the SG Hadmersleben had little chance and only barely escaped relegation in ninth place. Among other things, there was a 1:17 defeat against the eventual national champion EHW Thale . In 1949/50 it was enough with twelve teams in the north relay of the state class only to the last place, which meant relegation to the district class. In 1950/51 this was only the fourth division after the introduction of the GDR Oberliga and the second-rate GDR league.

For the 1951/52 season the Hadmersleber started as a company sports community (BSG) tractor, the sponsoring company was the people's own Gut Hadmersleben. It was the last season for the state of Saxony-Anhalt. In the course of 1952 the GDR government liquidated the states and divided the GDR into 14 districts . The BSG tractor ended the 1951/52 season as bottom of the table in their season with only three wins, but 24 defeats and 133 goals conceded. 1952/53 was played in the GDR according to the district system and Hadmersleben was classified in the fourth class district class Magdeburg. The BSG tractor was not up to this league either and was relegated to the district league.

In the mid-1950s there was a change of sponsor at Hadmersleber BSG. The teaching and experimental property Hadmersleben took over the BSG, which then appeared as the University Sports Association (HSG) Wissenschaft Hadmersleben. In the 1957 season (calendar year season), the HSG was again present in the district class for one year, which was only the 5th division due to the newly introduced third-class 2nd GDR league. It then took five years for the HSG to once again make it into the district class. This time Hadmersleben was able to assert itself from 1962 to 1966 for four seasons in the fourth-class league again. This was followed by a further twelve years at district level, before the return to the district class was achieved again in 1974. After that, the HSG was able to hold onto the fourth division until the end of the GDR soccer league system. In the last season of GDR football, HSG Wissenschaft reached 14th place in the district class.

In 1990 the GDR system of sponsoring companies collapsed due to the economic changes after the political changes in 1989/90 . After the HSG Wissenschaft was no longer supported by the teaching material, the sports community was transformed into a registered association , which again took on the historical name TSV Hadmersleben. It developed into a multi-disciplinary sports club, which in 2015 had departments for the competitive sports of soccer, athletics, volleyball, table tennis and table tennis and had around 260 members. In 2011 the TSV soccer team was promoted to the eighth national class.
