Release line

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A relief line is a special dog leash for hunting use. The collar ( neck ) is connected to the leash. The collar is opened and the dog is freed with a special snap hook, which can still be operated while pulling ( snap hook ). The collar remains on the leash and therefore does not pose any danger or restriction for the dog in hunting. Most of the time, the release leash does not end in a hand loop, as is the case with normal dog leashes, but can be put around the shoulder by the handler as a "shoulder leash". This way the handler has both hands free.
