The Behmbank is a bank in the Antarctic Weddell Sea . It is not far from the coast of the Coatsland .

It is named at the suggestion of the surveyor and glaciologist Heinrich Hinze from the Alfred Wegener Institute after the German physicist Alexander Behm (1880–1952) who developed a method for echo sounder measurement between 1912 and 1913 . The designation was confirmed in June 1997 by the US Advisory Committee for Undersea Features (ACUF).
