from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Advisory Council for Economic and Social Issues is a body founded in 1963 by the Austrian social partners as an instrument to objectify politics, namely economic policy. It is formally integrated into the Joint Commission for Price and Wage Issues . The main task of the informally structured advisory board is to prepare and publish reports and studies based on a consensus between social partners. External experts are usually also consulted when formulating these studies.

The advisory board's heyday was in the 1960s and 1970s.
