Provision gauge

An additional apprenticeship is a learning in vocational training in which the trainee observes the master at work and tries to imitate what he has seen.

This form of informal learning is particularly widespread in skilled trades . The advantage here is the high level of authenticity at the workplace as a place of learning - far away from a pedagogical space. The less holistic mediation is seen as a disadvantage, as it no longer does justice to the increasing complexity and service orientation in professional life. Predominantly limited skills would be acquired. Furthermore, there is no guarantee that trainees can work on tasks independently.
