Bekir Pasha Aqueduct

The Bekir-Pasha Aqueduct is an old aqueduct in Larnaka on the island of Cyprus from the Ottoman Empire . The aqueduct is also called the Kamares aqueduct. The aqueduct is in pretty good shape and there is a busy road underneath. In order to be able to see the aqueduct well, there is a footpath that is illuminated in the dark. The aqueduct dates from 1750, was in use until 1939 and consists of a total of 75 arches. It is named Bekir Pasha because the aqueduct was paid for by Ebubekir Pasha.
