Load control in sports training includes measures to control the training load with sports methodical and sports medicine procedures.

Exercise control in sport

The load control serves to ensure the stimulus effectiveness of the training load in terms of a planned performance development. When controlling the load, attention is paid to the correspondence between the methodically specified load and the possible resilience. Exercise control is an essential part of training control. Influencing factors are age , gender, constitution , abilities , skills , psyche and motivation .

Methods

The essential methodical control parameters in load control are the scope, intensity and technique of the movement.

In sports medicine, stress control is carried out through the use of heart rate , lactate , urea , creatine kinase and other determinations. The functional and performance diagnostics in the laboratory are a supporting element in load control .
