Belgian Roland

The Belgerner Roland is a Roland statue in Belgern , in the district of North Saxony in Saxony . (Germany). The figure was first mentioned in 1502. After its destruction, it was rebuilt in 1610. Posta sandstone was used as the material . Peter Bühringer is named as the creator . The Roland has a height of 5.25 m. As the bearer of a flame sword, he is considered a special feature among the Rolanden.
