The complex Belirang-Beriti volcano lies on the edge of the Semalako Plain in the southwestern part of the Indonesian island of Sumatra . The summit is formed by a crater with a diameter of 1.2 km, which has broken open towards the northwest. There are no known outbreaks. There are several fumaroles on the crater walls .
