Ben Katchor

Ben Katchor (born November 19, 1951 in Brooklyn , New York ) is an American comic book artist.

At the beginning of the 1980s Katchor made his debut in the comic magazine RAW and contributed significantly to the image of the magazine. Besides RAW , he also published in various other newspapers and magazines. His most important works include The Jew of New York (1998) and Julius Knipl (1996 and 2000).

Katchor, who lives in New York, teaches at Parsons The New School for Design .

In 2000 he was a MacArthur Fellow .
