Ben Watkins from Juno Reactor

Ben Watkins is a British musician. He is the founder of the Juno Reactor project and composer of film scores .

Life

Watkins began composing electronic music in 1982, had previously played in several bands and, according to his own admission, learned more about what kind of band he didn't want to play in than what kind of band he wanted to be a member of. After inheriting a few hundred pounds sterling from his late grandmother , he bought a sequencer and drum machine , inspired by the electro punk of bands like DAF and Suicide . The only person he knew who shared this preference was Martin “Youth” Glover from Killing Joke , with whom and whose girlfriend he played in a band. In 1990 Watkins formed Juno Reactor.

He contributed compositions to film soundtracks for the Matrix film series and Beowulf .

Ben Watkins also appears worldwide as a DJ under the name Juno-Reactor .
