Martin Glover (born December 27, 1960 ), better known under the pseudonym Youth , is an influential English music producer. He is a founding member and bassist of the band Killing Joke .

In October 1977 at the age of 16 Glover became the bassist of the punk band The Rage , which completed a tour of Great Britain in October / November 1977 as a support act for the Adverts . In 1978/79 he moved to a women's punk band Stilletto , which gave a concert in London's Acklam Hall on January 23, 1979. After the concert, Glover was approached by concert promoter Jock McDonald and formed with him and Jimmy Lydon the band 4 "Be 2" , which later became the Bollock Brothers .
On February 24, 1979, a classified ad appeared in the British Melody Maker in which the newly founded Killing Joke were looking for a bass player. Glover answered without success because he "sounded so stupid" on the phone. After three more unsuccessful classified ads, Killing Joke contacted Glover in June 1979 "out of desperation" and accepted him as bassist.

Glover founded various music carrier labels and produced for Tom Jones , Paul McCartney , Bananarama , The Orb and Heather Nova and released remixes by Erasure , Depeche Mode , Siouxsie and the Banshees , INXS , Wet Wet Wet and The Shamen . As part of the techno and house duo Blue Pearl , he also achieved his own chart positions.
