Blue pearl
Blue Pearl was a Techno - and House - duo , consisting of the American singer Durga McBroom and the British musician Martin Glover , former bassist for Killing Joke .
biography
In 1990 the duo Blue Pearl had their greatest success with Naked in the Rain , which took top positions in the pop charts across Europe, including top 10 positions in Austria and England. At number 5 in the Dance Music / Club Play Singles, the song was also a US dance hit. Originally released on blue vinyl , it is considered a classic example of early house and is still played in clubs today.
By 1993, other singles followed , particularly in Great Britain. The most successful follow-up single was (Can You) Feel the Passion (Blue Pearl's answer to Playing with Knives by Bizarre Inc. ), which rose to number 14 on the UK charts . In the US, the piece reached # 1 on the Billboard Dance Music / Club Play Singles .
In 1998 a remix of Naked in the Rain was placed in the UK charts and was thus the last chart hit Blue Pearls to date.
