Guy Pratt

Guy Pratt (born January 3, 1962 in London ) is a British bass player , actor and composer . He is the son of actor Mike Pratt and son of the late Pink Floyd - keyboardist Richard Wright .

Career

Musician

Pratt is a studio musician and has worked in his career with various musicians and bands such as Pink Floyd , The Smiths , Icehouse , Gary Moore , Tears For Fears , Madonna , Roxy Music and Michael Jackson in the studio or in live performances. He is a member of the band The Transit Kings , which consists of Alex Paterson ( The Orb ), Jimmy Cauty ( The KLF ), Dominic Beken and Billy Pilgrim.

On the last two Pink Floyd tours and some album recordings, Pratt replaced original bassist Roger Waters , but was never accepted as a full member of the group.

Since 2018 he has toured North America and Europe with Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets, playing early Pink Floyd titles.

He produced and wrote the music for the series Spaced , The Young Person's Guide to Becoming a Rock Star , Linda Green and Wild West as well as for the feature films County Kilburn (2000) and Redemption Road (2001). Together with Jimmy Nail he wrote his number one hit Ain't No Doubt .

actor

Pratt appeared in the series The Young Person's Guide to Becoming a Rock Star , Spaced and the remake of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) . Since August 2005 he has been on tour with his solo program My Bass & Other Animals , which premiered at the Edinburgh Festival .
