Jimmy Nail
Jimmy Nail (* 16th March 1954 in Newcastle upon Tyne as James Michael Aloysius Bradford ) is a British actor and singer .
Life and accomplishments
Nail was a member of The Crabs in the late 1970s . In 1992 his song Ain't No Doubt reached the first position in the British charts.
Nail made his debut as an actor in the mini-television series Spyship from 1983. In the SF comedy Star Cracks (1985), he played one of the larger roles. In the horror film Das Tier II (1985), he played alongside Christopher Lee . For the music of the mini-TV series Crocodile Shoes (1994), in which he played one of the leading roles, he was nominated for the 1995 BAFTA Award . In the film Evita (1996) he appeared alongside Madonna , Antonio Banderas and Jonathan Pryce .
In 2012/13 Jimmy Nail was involved in the development of the album and musical The Last Ship by British singer Sting .
Nail is married to Miriam Jones and has two sons.
