Benedict Muli Kimondiu

Benedict Muli Kimondiu (also: Ben Kimondiu ; born November 30, 1977 ) is a Kenyan marathon runner .

In 2001 he finished second in the Los Angeles Marathon . In the same year he won the Chicago Marathon , for which he was actually only engaged as a pacemaker , in his personal best of 2:08:52 and prevailed against the great favorite Paul Tergat .

Further successes include a victory in the Bogotá Half Marathon in 2002 and a third place in the Tokyo International Men's Marathon 2004 in 2:09:27.
