Vanves Benedictine Convent
The Benedictine monastery Vanves (French: Priory Sainte-Bathilde ) is since 1928 a priory of Benedictine nuns in Vanves ( Roman Catholic Diocese of Nanterre ) in Paris .
history
The sister community founded by Marguerite Waddington-Delmas in Paris in 1921 moved to Vanves in 1928 and had the Benedictine Paul Bellot (1876–1944) build a new monastery there, which was moved into in 1938 ( Prieuré Sainte Bathilde , 7 rue d'Issy). The monastery is the motherhouse of the Congregation of Saint Bathilde . There are currently 18 sisters living there.
